“I love Kit” SPAD S.XIII 1/24
The SPAD was the first of a series of highly successful biplane fighter aircraft produced by Société Pour L’Aviation et ses Dérivés (SPAD) during the First World War. It was a single-seat biplane that was sturdy and had good climbing rate to 12,000 ft. (3,660 m) and good diving characteristics. Although less maneuverable than the lightweight Nieuport 17, it proved to be a very stable gun platform. It made its inaugural flight in April 1916 and approximately 5,600 aircraft were built.

El SPAD fue el primero de una serie de aviones de combate biplanos de gran éxito producidos por la Société Pour L’Aviation et ses Dérivés (SPAD) durante la Primera Guerra Mundial. Se trataba de un biplano monoplaza robusto, con una buena velocidad de ascenso hasta los 3.660 m (12.000 pies) y buenas características de inmersión. Aunque menos maniobrable que el ligero Nieuport 17, demostró ser una plataforma de tiro muy estable. Realizó su vuelo inaugural en abril de 1916 y se construyeron aproximadamente 5.600 aviones.
