The RENAULT 4 CV was presented in the first post-war Paris Motor Show in October 1946. Evolved during the bombings and completed while France was still under rations, this little “car for everyone” created by the engineer Ferdinand Picard would be the vehicle of newly found freedom and a better life. For both families and city use, robust, economical and cheap, the 4CV would be the first French car to produce more than a million of its make: 1,105,547 in a 14-year career.

El RENAULT 4 CV se presentó en el primer Salón del Automóvil de París de la posguerra, en octubre de 1946. Desarrollado durante los bombardeos y terminado cuando Francia aún estaba bajo racionamiento, este pequeño «coche para todos» creado por el ingeniero Ferdinand Picard sería el vehículo de la libertad recién encontrada y de una vida mejor. Tanto para uso familiar como urbano, robusto, económico y barato, el 4CV sería el primer automóvil francés en producir más de un millón de unidades de su marca: 1.105.547 en 14 años de carrera.
