The Jaguar ground attack aircraft, born in the 1960s from a collaborative project of the French and British aeronautical industries, was used by the Royal Air Force until the end of the mid-2000s, demonstrating extraordinary longevity and operational efficiency. Thanks to its two turbojet engines, it was capable of reaching and exceeding mach 1.6. It was employed, carrying out numerous missions, in operational areas characterized by a high level of complexity, including the Balkans and Iraq. In particular, the Jaguar Gr. 3 “all-weather” single-seat version was significantly upgraded in avionics and equipped with terrain mapping and GPS targeting systems to optimize its role as a ground attack aircraft.

En particular, la versión monoplaza «todo tiempo» Jaguar Gr. 3 se mejoró significativamente en aviónica y se equipó con sistemas de cartografía del terreno y de puntería GPS para optimizar su papel como avión de ataque a tierra.
