A Modern Legend in 1/48
The M1 Abrams was formally adopted in 1980, and features highly recognizable flat surfaces and angular form, plus a powerful gas turbine engine. It was designed upgrade friendly, and various modifications throughout its service life have seen it remain at the cutting edge of military technology into the present day. One upgraded variant was the M1A1HA, which sported an L/44 120mm smoothbore gun and depleted uranium armor on the turret and hull; the M1A2 evolved this design further with technological enhancements such as the CITV thermal imaging sight, a Position/Navigation System and integrated sights for the commander and the driver. Its IVIS system allows advanced communication and information sharing between friendly vehicles. The M1A2 appeared in 1992 and in 2003 it saw its first action, in operations in Iraq.

Una leyenda moderna en 1/48

El M1 Abrams fue adoptado formalmente en 1980, y cuenta con superficies planas y formas angulares muy reconocibles, además de un potente motor de turbina de gas. Fue diseñado para ser actualizado, y varias modificaciones a lo largo de su vida útil lo han mantenido a la vanguardia de la tecnología militar hasta nuestros días. Una de las variantes mejoradas fue el M1A1HA, que contaba con un cañón de ánima lisa L/44 de 120 mm y un blindaje de uranio empobrecido en la torreta y el casco; el M1A2 evolucionó este diseño con mejoras tecnológicas como el visor de imágenes térmicas CITV, un sistema de posición/navegación y visores integrados para el comandante y el conductor. Su sistema IVIS permite la comunicación avanzada y el intercambio de información entre vehículos amigos. El M1A2 apareció en 1992 y en 2003 vio su primera acción, en operaciones en Irak.
