The Škoda PA-II, also known as the “Turtle” due to its distinctive rounded armor, was a Czechoslovak armored vehicle built between 1922 and 1923 by Škoda. In the military sphere, it was used primarily by the Czechoslovak Army, with individual units also operated by Austria, Hungary, and Germany.
The PA-II Turtle was designed for border patrol and local riot control in hostile urban and mountainous environments. It featured a cylindrical, streamlined hull that provided better ballistic protection. The vehicle entered service in the mid-1920s and remained in active service throughout the interwar period, with some units participating in World War II, particularly during the annexation of Czechoslovakia by the Third Reich.

El Skoda PA-II, también conocido como la “Tortuga” por su distintivo blindaje redondeado, fue un vehículo blindado checoslovaco construido entre 1922 y 1923 por Škoda. En el ámbito militar, fue utilizado principalmente por el ejército checoslovaco, con ejemplares individuales también operados por Austria, Hungría y Alemania.
El PA-II Turtle fue diseñado para la patrulla fronteriza y la lucha contra disturbios locales en entornos urbanos y montañosos hostiles. Presentaba un casco cilíndrico y aerodinámico que proporcionaba una mejor protección balística. El vehículo entró en servicio a mediados de la década de 1920 y permaneció activo durante el período de entreguerras, con algunos ejemplares participando en la Segunda Guerra Mundial, en particular durante la anexión de Checoslovaquia por el Tercer Reich.
