A 3rd Generation acrylic paint set featuring the eight colors that are essential for reproducing MERDC (Mobility Equipment Research and Development Center) camouflage patterns applied to US Army vehicles from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s.
Eight different patterns for use in various terrain and weather conditions were developed and all but one (Arctic White which was simply white overall) consisted of four colors: in theory, color no.1 and no.2 each covered 45% of vehicle’s surface, and color no.3 and no.4 each covered 5%. The profile guide on the rear side of the box shows examples of each multicolor pattern.

Light rust wash is indicated for rust effects on all kind of surfaces. Perfect for any rust effects on vehicles or accessories. It has a light rusty color, which stands out really well on dark greens giving a great realistic matt finish. It is perfect for amphibious or normal vehicles in wet environments. Also great for doing rusting effects on abandoned vehicles. The basic technique used to weather any type of model is the wash, a classic technique that is still one of the most used techniques in modelling today. Apply the washes after shaking the bottle with a large brush to pick out details and creating shadows.
The excess of the wash can be easily removed with a clean brush and White Spirit.
