From tools, and how to use various materials, to camouflage painting, markings, engines, pilots, etc. This is a must have for aircraft modelers. F.A.Q. is a compendium of the main techniques used in aircraft modelling, explained from a beginner level, through to the most complex of tasks. In this fourth issue of Aces High, we deal with the Mediterranean Theater of Operations (MTO) during WWII. Bearing in mind that it would be impossible to cover the aircraft of all the nations which fought in this area, in just one issue, we have this time decided to focus on just Luftwaffe and Royal Air Force subjects. We have chosen the most iconic machines used by the greatest pilots: a Spitfire Mk.Vb, with its distinctive Vokes tropical filter; a Kittyhawk Mk.I, wearing the famous sharkmouth nose marking; a Bf 109 F-4 trop, finished as the mount of the legendary ace, Hans-Joachim Marseille; a Beaufighter Mk.VIF, with a slightly more unusual desert night-fighter scheme, and a Bf 110 E-2 trop, which served as fighter, bomber and ground attack aircraft. To complement our aircraft builds, we include step-by-step articles which show you how to paint a pilot figure, and a half-tracked truck.

This next issue of our aircraft modelling magazine, is fully dedicated to jet aircraft that participated in the Vietnam conflict. We travel to this hot and humid location, and try to revive the atmosphere of those air battles between the small and agile MiGs, and their opponents from the USAF, US Navy, and Marines. Each of the latter service branches is represented by one aircraft, featured within the pages of Aces High Issue Five, along with a pair of their opponents; two agile MiGs, in spectacular camouflage schemes. To complement these builds, we include a new gallery section and step-by-step articles which show you how to build a figure vignette, and also finish an auxiliary vehicle. So jettison your drop tanks, activate all weapon systems, and fire your afterburners, as we now take to the skies of Vietnam with the latest issue of Aces High magazine!
AK- Interactive 4×2 book introduces what we believe to be an entirely new concept with modelling publications and a new field for other publications and companies make similar products. In this book, four modelers build a different subject twice! Each specific vehicle is represented by each modeler in either an operational or factory fresh appearance, and again as a destroyed, abandoned, or museum/monument exhibited vehicle. A truly unique approach for the vehicle modeler. With this approach, we can bring you articles on the same model, but with entirely different techniques employed, or used in a different manner. Of course, you will be able to translate these techniques to other eras and different vehicles. 4×2 has more than 130 pages, detailed step-by-step process descriptions and high quality photographs, as it standard with all AK-Interactive publications.
When we decided to launch the Modelling Full Ahead project, we were aware that in an eighty page publication it was possible to condense the information needed to build a specific warship. But as modelling is evolving nowadays with it’s curiosity, techniques, innovation, history, and certainly everything that pushes us to build a scale model, this cannot only be achieved with a monographic series.
Bearing this in mind and in response to the multitude of suggestions we received, we offer you a parallel to the monographs series. In this special issue we will deal with difficulties that may occur during the building stages, such as working with photo-etch, advanced painting, scratch-building, diorama composition, etc. With this new guide we will not only help you to build your models but also have the possibility to tell its history.
Issue 02 sets the bar higher than the first issue! With 104 pages dedicated to more amazing armor, with reference sections, specialized techniques, product map, and our section school of techniques.
