Bismarck battleship is a world-famous German battleship in World War II.The ship commenced in 1936, in service in August 1940, full-load displacement of 50,000 tons, the largest battleship in the world at that time.

Bismarck was a symbol of Nazi Germany Navy ships armed, and well, perfect protection, known as “the unsinkable sea fortress”, but it was sunk after the implementation of its first combat mission.

El acorazado Bismarck es un acorazado alemán mundialmente famoso de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. El barco comenzó a construirse en 1936, entró en servicio en agosto de 1940, tenía un desplazamiento a plena carga de 50 000 toneladas y era el acorazado más grande del mundo en aquella época.

El Bismarck era un símbolo de los buques armados de la Armada de la Alemania nazi y, gracias a su perfecta protección, era conocido como «la fortaleza marítima insumergible», pero fue hundido tras su primera misión de combate.

En la batalla naval del estrecho de Dinamarca, el Bismarck hundió en menos de diez minutos al crucero de batalla HMS Hood, orgullo de la Armada Real Británica. Pero los torpedos lanzados por los bombarderos torpederos Swordfish que despegaron del portaaviones Ark Royal alcanzaron al Bismarck, cuyo timón se atascó, impidiéndole controlar la dirección de la navegación normal.
