German vehicles based in North Africa are a theme that is commonly enjoyed by many modelers. This totally new set has been designed to weather German vehicles based in North Africa but you don´t have to stop there as this set is perfectly acceptable to be used on Allied vehicles or even more modern examples.

The set includes three different colors for doing washes, filters and streaking grime effects. This set gives the modeler everything needed for basic weathering of DAK vehicles.

Este set totalmente nuevo ha sido diseñado para envejecer a los vehículos alemanes con sede en el norte de África, pero no tiene por qué pararse allí, ya que este conjunto es perfectamente aceptable para ser utilizado en vehículos aliados o incluso en ejemplos más modernos.

El conjunto incluye tres colores diferentes para lavar, filtrar y rayar los efectos de mugre. Este set le da al modelador todo lo necesario para el envejecimiento básico de los vehículos DAK.

Enamel type product for modelling.
Filters are designed to achieve a subtle tonal variation for especially vehicles in monotone camouflage colors. Shake and apply directly from the bottle with a moist flat brush. This dark brown filter allows us to change subtly the base tone of woods or light browns making it more accurate and authentic color. At the same time, the filter adds depth and richness to our vehicle or accessory, preparing it for the next paint steps. Use the filters by moistening a brush and applying it without flooding the surface, to enrich hues in your models, unify camouflage, or highlight areas with a different tone. With these products we will avoid mixing paints, looking for the correct dilution, or searching for the correct colors for our vehicle.

These filters are enamel based and can be cleaned or diluted with Odorless Enamel Thinner.

Los filtros están diseñados para lograr una variación tonal muy sutil para vehículos especialmente pintados en colores de camuflaje monótonos. Agite y aplique directamente de la botella con un pincel plano húmedo. Este filtro marrón oscuro nos permite cambiar sutilmente el tono base de maderas o marrones claros, lo que lo convierte en un color más preciso y auténtico. Al mismo tiempo, el filtro agrega profundidad y riqueza a nuestro vehículo, preparándolo para los próximos pasos de pintura. Use los filtros humedeciendo un pincel y aplicándolo sin inundar la superficie, para enriquecer los tonos en sus modelos, unificar el camuflaje o resaltar áreas con un tono diferente. Con estos productos evitaremos mezclar pinturas, buscar la dilución correcta o buscar los colores correctos para nuestro vehículo.

With this enamel product the modeler may easily represent streaking dirt effects on ships painted in light grey. It can also be used on other issues of similar color such as aircraft or AFVs. Shake well before use. Apply your streak with a fine pointed brush in irregular vertical lines from upper parts on sides and let the paint dry for about 10 minutes. Next take a flat brush moistened in White Spirit and swipe with little pressure over the earlier applied streak to soften the effect and create a natural look.

The modern American vehicles in Afghanistan and Iraq are becoming a theme that is just as important as the German vehicles from WWII. Many brands of plastic kits are now inclined to produce vehicles from these two theatres of operations, OIF and OEF. This set has been exclusively designed for modelers that make these types of vehicles, they can however be used for subjects of other armies & time periods. These American vehicles tend to have a particular aspect and to achieve these affects the set contains one product for washes and another for the streaking effects. Also included is an 3Gen acrylic base color of one of the most common colors of the American forces in desert zones, the FS 33446. A color faithfully reproduced and lightly softened to compensate for the scale effects.

You can use this color on all your American vehicles and it can be weathered with the 2 weathering effect products included in this set to obtain results very close to that of real vehicles.
