WW2 German mortar GrW 34 with Crew

The s.Gr.W.34 mortar, produced from 1934 to 1945 was in Wermacht service during the war. It was a regular means of fire support of German infantry battalions and allowed to solve combat tasks of ground units successfully. The range of the mortar was adjusted by changing the angle of the barrel and the amount of powder charge on the mine.
The ammunition could include fragmentation, smoke, lighting and bouncing bombs. A well-trained mortar crew could fire up to 25 shots per minute.
For transportation the mortar the total weight of which was about 60 kg, was disassembled into three parts and transported by the combat crew. Total weight of mortar was about 60 kg. The mines were carried in boxes, three pieces in each.

El mortero s.Gr.W.34, producido de 1934 a 1945 estuvo en servicio en la Wermacht durante la guerra. Era un medio habitual de apoyo de fuego de los batallones de infantería alemanes y permitía resolver con éxito las tareas de combate de las unidades terrestres. El alcance del mortero se ajustaba cambiando el ángulo del cañón y la cantidad de carga de pólvora de la mina.
La munición podía incluir bombas de fragmentación, de humo, de iluminación y de rebote. Una tripulación de mortero bien entrenada podía efectuar hasta 25 disparos por minuto.
Para su transporte, el mortero, cuyo peso total era de unos 60 kg, era desmontado en tres partes y transportado por la tripulación de combate. El peso total del mortero era de unos 60 kg. Las minas se transportaban en cajas, tres piezas en cada una.
