Delivery of Chevrolet cars to Lend-Lease from the United States began in 1942. Until the end of the war, the number of these vehicles in the Soviet Army exceeded 47,000 units. Thanks to these trucks, the level of mechanization and mobility of combat formations has reached a new level. Chevrolet trucks were used both in combat units and in the rear. They were used to transport infantry, as artillery tractors, ambulances, mobile radios, to deliver ammunition, etc.
Reliable enough and easy to operate, maneuverable and with good maneuverability, they rightfully enjoyed the love and respect of the soldiers. Also, in addition to performing the functions of trucks, many vehicles of this series served as the basis for the installation of multiple launch rocket systems – the well-known combat vehicles of rocket artillery, better known as “Katyusha”.

La entrega de automóviles Chevrolet a Lend-Lease desde Estados Unidos comenzó en 1942. Hasta el final de la guerra, el número de estos vehículos en el ejército soviético superó las 47.000 unidades. Gracias a estos camiones, el nivel de mecanización y movilidad de las formaciones de combate ha alcanzado un nuevo nivel. Los camiones Chevrolet se utilizaron tanto en unidades de combate como en la parte trasera. Fueron utilizados para el transporte de infantería, como tractores de artillería, ambulancias, radios móviles, para entregar municiones, etc.
Lo suficientemente confiables y fáciles de operar, maniobrables y con buena maniobrabilidad, disfrutaban legítimamente del amor y el respeto de los soldados. Además, además de realizar las funciones de camiones, muchos vehículos de esta serie sirvieron de base para la instalación de múltiples sistemas de lanzamiento de cohetes – los conocidos vehículos de combate de artillería de cohetes, más conocidos como “Katyusha”.
