When we decided to launch the Modelling Full Ahead project, we were aware that in an eighty page publication it was possible to condense the information needed to build a specific warship. But as modelling is evolving nowadays with it’s curiosity, techniques, innovation, history, and certainly everything that pushes us to build a scale model, this cannot only be achieved with a monographic series.
Bearing this in mind and in response to the multitude of suggestions we received, we offer you a parallel to the monographs series. In this special issue we will deal with difficulties that may occur during the building stages, such as working with photo-etch, advanced painting, scratch-building, diorama composition, etc. With this new guide we will not only help you to build your models but also have the possibility to tell its history.

A glass jar with a plastic screw cap is used to purge the airbrush with the cleaner after each use. Thanks to a special filter in the upper part, all impurities and liquid remain in the container. Additionally, the lid is equipped with an airbrush stand.

The modern American vehicles in Afghanistan and Iraq are becoming a theme that is just as important as the German vehicles from WWII. Many brands of plastic kits are now inclined to produce vehicles from these two theatres of operations, OIF and OEF. This set has been exclusively designed for modelers that make these types of vehicles, they can however be used for subjects of other armies & time periods. These American vehicles tend to have a particular aspect and to achieve these affects the set contains one product for washes and another for the streaking effects. Light rust wash is indicated for rust effects on all kind of surfaces. Perfect for any rust effects on vehicles or accessories. It has a light rusty color, which stands out really well on dark greens giving a great realistic matt finish. It is perfect for amphibious or normal vehicles in wet environments. Also great for doing rusting effects on abandoned vehicles. The basic technique used to weather any type of model is the wash, a classic technique that is still one of the most used techniques in modelling today. Apply the washes after shaking the bottle with a large brush to pick out details and creating shadows.
The excess of the wash can be easily removed with a clean brush and White Spirit.

El lavado de óxido ligero está indicado para realizar efectos de óxido en todo tipo de superficies. Tiene un tono de óxido claro, que destaca muy bien y ofrece un acabado mate muy realista en vehículos o accesorios. Es perfecto para vehículos anfibios o cualquier vehículo en ambientes húmedos. También es excelente para hacer efectos de oxidación en vehículos abandonados.
Aplique el lavado con un pincel de punta redonda y de tamaño mediano. Deposite el lavado en su maqueta alrededor de los detalles, los volúmenes y los paneles para resaltar los detalles. Deje que el lavado seque durante aproximadamente 15 minutos y luego limpie el exceso con un pincel humedecido con White Spirit. Use un pincel de punta fina y tamaño pequeño para aplicar lavados más precisos donde crea que puedan ser necesarios, tal como costuras de soldadura y alrededor de pernos y remaches.

The modern American vehicles in Afghanistan and Iraq are becoming a theme that is just as important as the German vehicles from WWII. Many brands of plastic kits are now inclined to produce vehicles from these two theatres of operations, OIF and OEF. This set has been exclusively designed for modelers that make these types of vehicles, they can however be used for subjects of other armies & time periods. These American vehicles tend to have a particular aspect and to achieve these affects the set contains one product for washes and another for the streaking effects. Also included is an 3Gen acrylic base color of one of the most common colors of the American forces in desert zones, the FS 33446. A color faithfully reproduced and lightly softened to compensate for the scale effects.
You can use this color on all your American vehicles and it can be weathered with the 2 weathering effect products included in this set to obtain results very close to that of real vehicles.
