1/35 WWII Allied Bailey Bridge Type M2

After the start of World War II, the Allies needed a bridge that was simple and easy to transport and assemble to cope with the increasing weight of new tanks. This task was in charge of Sir Donald Burley of the Royal British Engineers. It was designed from 1940 to July 1941 and was put into mass production. It was named after the surname of the designer Sir Donald Burley. The advantage of this assembly bridge is that it does not require special tools and heavy equipment to assist in assembly. Later, this assembled bridge played an excellent role during the European War, allowing the Allies to repair the bridge destroyed by the Germans and the Italians in a short period of time, exerting a rapid advancement effect and accelerating the defeat of the Axis Powers.
